N2 to Greyton is open.

THEEWATERSKLOOF MUNICIPALITY – N2 BOTRIVIER IS OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC

The Theewaterskloof Municipality is pleased to announce that the section of the N2 at the Botriver Bridge was opened at 16:30 today(31 October 2023).

SANRAL has done a remarkable job, in record speed, to repair the damaged section of the road within a month that was washed away during the September storms and flood damages.

The opening of the road will alleviate the extra travelling time, congestion on the national road and the detour roads as well as the inconvenience caused to residents and motorists.

The opening of the road will ensure a functioning transport network to get the rubber back on the road to drive the economy of Theewaterskloof Municipality, which is the corridor in and out of Cape Town.

Well done SANRAL for your commitment to complete the repair work, to round off October as Transport Month, building safer roads to enhance travel experience by improving and maintaining the national road network for social development and economic growth in South Africa.
