PGP Greyton Artwalk kids competition sets the standard.

2022 kids art competition judges hard at work.

Prizes and certificates to be awarded this Saturday the 3rd of December at Art Centre 1 at 11h00.

At 10 this morning six judges gathered at the Greyton Art Gallery for their final deliberations. Last Friday was the initial selection for finalists narrowing the field from 150 plus entries to 36 winners. Entrants were first selected in age and grade for display at next weekend’s main event and then on an individual winners and runners up basis. This was no easy task with such a high standard, entrants ranged from Grade R –9.

Every work was assessed individually by the judges for creativity, subject representation, use of color, story and perspective. This year’s subject was historical buildings and an amazing range of representations in various mediums were submitted.

The judging team consisted of Dina Kuijers, Demyan Rossou, Heine De Waal, Ansie Scholtz, Lee Anne Alexander and Douglas Legg of Pam Golding.
