Greyton has got to be one of the best spots in SA to vote. The polling station is located in the old Morvian Hall just adjacent the public library. There is easy parking but most people nearly always walk and the IEC officials have a smile. They are made up of many well know personalities from around town. Even the political parties stationed outside the voting area always seem to be in a festive mood much detached from their national leaders.
It is also worth mentioning that there almost never seems to be a que and even when there is a small one it is a great chance to chat and catch up. The polling station opened on time this morning and will remain open until 21h00 this evening. It will be interesting to see if the cooler weather and chance of rain has an affect on numbers.
