As we come to the end of 2015, it has been a huge learning curve for me. I joined Pam Golding in January this year, after not being in the property market for more than 24 years, and although the basics of selling never really change, everything else certainly does! Luckily I have had the backing of Pam Golding’s extensive network. We have had an interesting year, selling quite a number of properties, and meeting some amazing people. It has been a really good year, and I look forward to 2016 with relish.
We moved to Greyton last year in May, and I have loved every second since. There is so much here that fascinates me. The changing colour on the mountains every day, the beautiful countryside that changes with the seasons…. the brown patchwork that comes to life with yellow splendour in winter……the magnificent oaks that shade the village lanes in summer.
Then we have the chilly winters with the bare branched trees and warm dancing fires, and the crisp cold air that is so invigorating. October brings the most stunning array of roses I have ever seen…. Greyton residents are phenomenal with their production of a vast display of magnificent roses that leave one speechless in admiration.
The people of Greyton have been warm and welcoming and the village has taken us in and made us part of the community with seamless effort. There is always somewhere to go and have a delicious cup of coffee with a tasty snack, or even a sinful slice of cake……. the evenings present one with the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy a drink while watching village life go by, then a delicious meal to round off the evening, with a slow leisurely walk home.
Being in the property business has given me the opportunity to meet so many new and wonderful people, as well as make new and special friends. I look forward to a long and mutually worthwhile relationship with Greyton villagers and newcomers, of which I no longer feel that I am, due to this magical place I now call home.
