Picture this……a lovely cool evening, candlelight, a very mellow mood and the glorious sounds of Guy Buttery on guitar. Oh, and did I mention, all this taking place in the charming and lovely village of Greyton.
The Eco Lodge recently hosted Guy Buttery while on his Gathering Fiction tour, and once again we were blown away by this music genius. Enjoying a glass of wine whilst listening to this very distinctive and exciting musician, reflects our relaxed and easy going life style in Greyton.
“… his music has a subtle grace and power all of its own. Buttery immerses himself entirely into the soul of his guitar, coaxing sonic shapes and forms of such startling originality that his instrument acts as a kind of lightning conductor for the sound of another realm.” – Mail & Guardian
Then, as if this wasn’t enough, we have the magnificent duo of Tony Cox and Steve Newman gracing us with their presence in April, opening with a show on 24th by these acoustic guitar masters. Appearing at the Eco Lodge, with tasty vegetarian fare as well as a relaxed atmosphere provided by Janet and the staff, what more could one ask for?
Tony Cox and Steve Newman have appeared together on and off over the years and compliment each other perfectly. This will be one of their rare joint performances, and isn’t to be missed. We are truly fortunate to be able to see musicians of this quality performing in our own town. Can’t wait!
