This Saturday was a big step into the past when The Western Cape Veteran Tractor and Engine Club held an event in and around Greyton. Participants came from all over the Overberg for the meeting which involved a series of exercises. One of these was a parade through town stopping off at the DRC, where residents and visitors could view these fine examples of yesteryear. The highlight for the weekend was a spit braai held on Saturday night on a nearby farm.

The main picture is of a Lanz Bull Dog being heated with a cutting torch before being hand crank. The lower picture is a very rare 1966 BMC Mini ( British Motor Company  forerunner to Leyland) owned by Bol Hugo from Villiersdorp.
