Big rain misses Greyton.

When there are heavy rains in the Western Cape you can almost bet the farm that Greyton will get more than its fair share. Well not this time. While Somerset West and other areas made the news for all the wrong reasons Greyton seems to have got off quiet lightly. Make no mistake the official count is 126 mm in the last 72 hours and it’s as wet as it gets, but the Gobos River only got half full and there doesn’t seem to be any damage about town. So for an expected event like we just had Greyton got off lightly. Whether there is a surprise around the corner remains to be seen, but for now things are looking up and we might even get some sun tomorrow.

Other spots closer to home seem to have suffered more damage and the Krige Road and the road to Villiersdorp are closed due to RSE running over the bridges.
