Dear Members and Friends
This weekend the weather was perfect for shooting once the morning mist had cleared. We had 15 guns and a few spectators which is not bad for June! There were two sporting ranges on offer, DTL and ATA. The field range could be described as difficult and the Bush range as better although not easy. The final stand had a double midi from the tower that surprised most. Unfortunately gremlins attacked shortly before the shoot was due to start leaving us one machine down which required some quick changes to the layout. All round members and guests shot both layouts well with little to separate the usual suspects. It was interesting to note how some competitors could straight one stand and completely fall apart on the next. This was further emphasized by the fact that it was on different stands for different people?
Members decided to try Searle’s Trading Post for lunch and reports are promising.
Preparations now turn to the interclub that is to be held on Sat the 31st August and not the 24th as previously announced. Members and guests are encouraged to make arrangements now as it will be a busy weekend in town. The range will not close for lunch so we can get in as many details as possible before the close.
The program is as follows.
Friday 30th Sporting Practice only from 14h00.
Friday 30th evening braai contact Bjorn for details.

Our next shoot will be on the 29th of July 2013 starting at 09h45. We will have a 50 English Sporting Competition over 8 stands and two layouts with prizes. DTL will also be available afterwards for those wishing to get their eye in before the big competition.
