Early morning visitors to Greyton were surprised by bustling streets and a large parade through town supported by a brass band. Luckily against the odds the weather was near perfect for the day and town looked picture perfect in its spring glory. This year just seemed that little bit busier with more stalls, larger displays and in general a better organized fair. There seemed to something for everyone!
The Rose Fair was officially opened by Mr. Stan Wallis of TWK with a short speech and Mrs. Gill Moore then presented the winners of Greyton Rose Fair Pageants with certificates.
Overall visitor numbers were up and stall holders reported better sales than last year. It seems that there were more day trippers than people staying for the weekend. For most the day was a great success and finished off nicely with a Western Provinces win at the Shark Tank.
See you there next year!
